Hi, I’m Jean.
Let’s make this feel like you.
My love for photography grew from life’s celebrations: the laughter that arrives without warning, a quiet tear, and the people reaching for one another in a crowded room.
Weddings took that love further. Photographing couples in Philadelphia and New York helped shape my approach to documenting a day as it unfolds. Hawaiʻi became the place where I brought that experience home.
Today, that same care guides Island Memoir. Whether you are exchanging vows, gathering your family, or celebrating a milestone, I want you to feel comfortable enough to be yourself.

Do you only photograph weddings?
No. Alongside weddings and elopements, you can inquire about engagements, families, maternity, portraits, graduations, private celebrations, and corporate events. Video and photo booth options can also be discussed.
What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?
You do not need modeling experience. Our approach makes room for conversation, natural interaction, and helpful direction. Let us know any concerns when planning your session.
Can we plan our Oʻahu wedding from overseas?
Yes, you can begin by sending your date, venue or location ideas, and coverage needs through our contact page. We can discuss photography details while you plan your visit to Hawaiʻi.
Will Jean personally photograph our event?
