About JTP Gallery
What is JTP Gallery?
JTP Gallery, operated by JeanTubbaliPhotography LLC, is an Oahu-based photography and event storytelling business serving weddings, elopements, families, portraits, celebrations, corporate events and other meaningful occasions. Depending on the event, coverage may also include videography and a photo booth.
Who is Jean Tubbali?
Jean is the founder, photographer and creative heart behind JTP Gallery. Her approach grew from a love of candid moments, genuine emotion and the small interactions that make each person and celebration distinct.
What makes JTP Gallery different?
People come before pictures. JTP Gallery combines thoughtful preparation with a warm, personal experience so clients can feel comfortable, stay present and receive photographs that feel true to them.
What is your photography style?
Our style is heartfelt, natural and story-led. We blend candid documentary moments with gentle direction and classic portraits, preserving both the atmosphere of the day and the people who made it meaningful.
Do you only photograph weddings?
No. Weddings and elopements are an important part of our work, but we also photograph proposals, engagements, families, maternity, graduations, portraits, birthdays, private celebrations, corporate gatherings and community events.
Do you work as an individual photographer or as a team?
JTP Gallery is founder-led and can scale the team to suit the assignment. Depending on your coverage, the team may include Jean, additional photographers, videographers, editors and photo booth attendants. Your proposal will identify the services and team included.
Will Jean personally photograph my event?
Jean's involvement depends on the date, package, event requirements and availability. If a JTP associate or expanded team will cover any part of your event, that arrangement should be confirmed with you before booking.
What values guide your work?
JTP Gallery is guided by H.E.A.R.T.S.: Human Connection First, Excellence in Every Detail, Authenticity Always, Reliability and Ownership, Together We Grow, and Stay Curious.
Where is JTP Gallery based?
JTP Gallery is based on Oahu, Hawaii, and primarily serves Honolulu and locations across the island. Travel beyond the usual service area may be possible by arrangement.
Still deciding whether JTP is the right fit? Tell us what matters most to you. We are happy to discuss your ideas, priorities and any arrangement that may make the experience work for you.
FAQ Topic
Availability and Getting Started
How do I check whether my date is available?
Send an inquiry with your preferred date, occasion, location or venue, and the services you are considering. We will review the details and let you know what coverage may be available.
What information should I include in my first inquiry?
Please share your name, email, phone number if preferred, event or session type, date, location, estimated hours, approximate guest or group size, and whether you need photography, videography, a photo booth or a combination.
Do I need every detail finalised before contacting you?
No. An estimated date, location and general idea are enough to begin. We can help identify the questions that need to be answered before preparing the right recommendation.
How far in advance should I book?
JTP Gallery currently recommends booking at least four to six weeks in advance, especially for popular dates. Weddings, major events and peak-season weekends often benefit from earlier planning. Last-minute requests are still welcome when availability allows.
Do you accept last-minute bookings?
Yes, when the date, team and logistics allow. Contact us as soon as possible and include all confirmed details so we can respond efficiently.
How quickly will you reply to my inquiry?
We aim to respond as promptly as possible. Response time may be longer while the team is photographing an event, travelling or working outside standard business hours.
Can I schedule a consultation before booking?
Yes. For weddings, larger events, corporate coverage or custom packages, a consultation can help clarify priorities, timing, logistics and the services you actually need.
Can someone else inquire or book on my behalf?
Yes, but the contract should identify the responsible client and decision-maker. For surprise proposals or gifts, we can coordinate discreetly with the person arranging the experience.
Is submitting the inquiry form a confirmed booking?
No. An inquiry only starts the conversation. Your date is secured after the required contract and retainer have been completed and JTP Gallery confirms the booking.
Your plans are still taking shape? Send what you know now. Timing, coverage and special requests may be arranged around your priorities and our availability.
FAQ Topic
Pricing, Payments and Contracts
How do I receive pricing for my photography or event?
Share your date, location, occasion and desired coverage. We will direct you to the most relevant collection or prepare a personalised proposal when the project needs a custom scope.
Do you publish wedding pricing?
JTP Gallery publishes wedding collections and build-your-own options online. Because inclusions and availability can change, please review the current Wedding Collections page or request a proposal for the most accurate details.
What is included in photography pricing?
Inclusions depend on the service, but may include scheduled coverage, professionally edited high-resolution photographs, an online gallery, planning support and a print release. Your proposal and contract will state exactly what is included.
Is a retainer required?
Yes. The current booking policy requires a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer to secure the date. The remaining balance is due before the event, according to the timeline in your agreement.
Why is the retainer non-refundable?
The retainer reserves your date and allows JTP Gallery to turn away conflicting work, schedule the appropriate team and begin preparation. Any cancellation, transfer or rescheduling terms will be governed by your signed contract.
Do you offer payment plans?
Flexible payment arrangements may be available. Ask before booking so the agreed schedule can be documented clearly and all required payments are completed by the applicable deadline.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Available payment methods will be shown on your invoice or confirmed during booking. If you require a particular payment method, please ask before signing.
Are taxes included in the quoted price?
Your proposal or invoice will show the applicable charges. Please rely on the final written total rather than an estimate discussed informally.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Known coverage, travel, permits, parking, overtime and selected add-ons should be discussed and documented before the event. If your scope changes later, any added cost should be approved before it is charged.
Can the price change after I book?
The agreed scope remains governed by your contract. The total may change only if you request additional hours, services, locations, products or other additions, or if a previously unknown cost needs your approval.
Can I use a promotion, gift card or referral credit?
Please send the exact offer or code before booking. Eligibility, expiry, minimum spend and whether offers can be combined will be confirmed in writing.
Do you provide invoices and receipts?
Yes. JTP Gallery can provide booking documentation for your agreed services. Corporate clients should share any billing, purchase-order or vendor requirements early.
Need a different scope or payment arrangement? Tell us your priorities and budget range. Packages, add-ons and payment timing may be discussed and arranged where practical.
FAQ Topic
Packages and Custom Coverage
What services can I book with JTP Gallery?
Services may include wedding and elopement photography, proposals, engagements, family and maternity sessions, graduations, portraits, private events, corporate events, videography, photo booth rental and combined event coverage.
Can I book photography only?
Yes. Photography can be booked on its own when a suitable collection or hourly option is available.
Can I book videography only?
Videography-only coverage may be available depending on the date, assignment and team. Share the moments and final film style you want so we can recommend the right scope.
Can I book the photo booth only?
Yes, subject to availability, venue access, setup requirements and the selected service duration.
Can I combine photography, videography and a photo booth?
Yes. Combined coverage is one of JTP Gallery's core event offerings and can simplify communication by keeping the visual team under one coordinated plan.
Can you create a custom package?
Yes. If a standard collection does not fit your event, we can discuss a custom combination based on hours, locations, team size, deliverables and priorities.
Can I remove something from a package?
Ask us. Fixed collections are designed as complete experiences, so removing an inclusion may not always reduce the price proportionally. A build-your-own or custom option may be more suitable.
Can I add services after booking?
Usually, if the required team and equipment remain available. Popular dates can fill quickly, so request additional photography hours, video, a second photographer or photo booth coverage as early as possible.
How do I know how many hours I need?
We consider your timeline, locations, important people, formalities and desired story. Short coverage may suit one focused moment; multi-part events usually need more time and may benefit from additional team members.
Do you offer multiple photographers or videographers?
Yes, selected collections and custom assignments can include additional professionals. A larger team can help with simultaneous moments, multiple locations, guest coverage and complex timelines.
Nothing you see fits perfectly? We can discuss a tailored combination of photography, video, photo booth hours and add-ons based on what matters most to you.
FAQ Topic
Weddings
What types of weddings do you photograph?
JTP Gallery photographs intimate ceremonies, traditional weddings, destination celebrations, multicultural weddings, church ceremonies, beach weddings, venue weddings and larger events, subject to date and logistical requirements.
What wedding collections are available?
The current Wedding Collections page lists Signature, Premier, Luxe and Heirloom options, plus build-your-own photography, videography and photo booth coverage. Please check the live page for current pricing and inclusions.
Do wedding packages include unlimited edited photographs?
Current wedding photography offerings include unlimited edited high-resolution images within the booked coverage, meaning JTP delivers the successful photographs that meet its quality standards rather than limiting the gallery to a fixed count. Exact inclusions remain subject to your agreement.
Do you help create the wedding photography timeline?
Yes. Timeline assistance is included in current wedding offerings. We coordinate coverage around the important moments while allowing realistic time for travel, family groups, portraits and natural interactions.
Do you photograph getting ready, the ceremony and reception?
Coverage depends on the collection selected. Some options focus on the ceremony, while fuller collections include getting ready through reception. Your proposal will specify the start time, end time and covered events.
Do you take family group photographs at weddings?
Yes. We recommend preparing a concise list of essential family combinations and appointing someone familiar with both families to help gather people efficiently.
Will you also capture candid moments and details?
Yes. JTP Gallery balances key portraits with candid interactions, meaningful details, reactions and the atmosphere that helps tell the complete story.
Do you offer a second photographer?
Yes. A second photographer is included in selected coverage and may be added to eligible packages. This can be helpful for simultaneous preparations, multiple perspectives and larger guest counts.
Do you photograph rehearsal dinners or welcome events?
Yes, by arrangement. These can be added to a wedding proposal when the date, timing and team are available.
Can you cover a multi-day wedding?
Yes. Multi-day cultural, destination or family celebrations require a custom proposal covering each date, location, schedule and deliverable.
Have you photographed multicultural or faith-based weddings?
JTP Gallery welcomes diverse traditions. Please explain the important customs, restrictions, family roles and moments in advance so the team can prepare respectfully.
Can you work from a wedding shot list?
Yes for essential people, details and traditions. We do not recommend scripting every image, because space is needed to notice genuine moments as they unfold.
What if our ceremony runs late?
We will prioritise the most important moments within the remaining booked time. If continued coverage is requested and the team is available, overtime may be added according to the contract.
Can we extend coverage on the wedding day?
Possibly. Same-day extensions depend on team availability and should be approved by the authorised client. The overtime rate and payment process should follow the agreement.
Your wedding will not look like anyone else's. Tell us about the moments, people and traditions that matter most. Coverage can often be customised around your day.
FAQ Topic
Elopements and Intimate Ceremonies
Do you photograph Oahu elopements?
Yes. JTP Gallery specialises in intimate Oahu weddings and elopements, from simple vow exchanges to small celebrations with close family and friends.
How is elopement coverage different from a traditional wedding?
Elopements usually have fewer guests and a shorter, more flexible timeline, but the experience can still include getting ready, vows, portraits, location changes, video and meaningful details.
Can you help us choose an elopement location?
We can share photography considerations such as light, travel time, terrain, privacy and weather exposure. Final permission, permit and legal ceremony requirements should be confirmed with the venue and relevant authorities.
Can you photograph just the ceremony and portraits?
Yes. Shorter coverage may be available, subject to minimum booking requirements and travel logistics.
Can family or friends join our elopement?
Of course. Tell us the expected guest count and any group photographs you want so the timeline and location can accommodate everyone comfortably.
Can you photograph a vow renewal?
Yes. Vow renewals, anniversary ceremonies and quiet recommitments can be covered in the same thoughtful, story-led way.
Can you keep our elopement private until we announce it?
Yes. Tell us clearly that the event is confidential, and we will discuss gallery access and portfolio-sharing preferences before the booking.
Can we include video or drone footage?
Video may be added when available. Drone coverage depends on weather, safety, location rules, permits and legal flight restrictions, so it cannot be guaranteed for every event.
Planning something small, private or unconventional? We are happy to shape the coverage around your ceremony rather than forcing it into a traditional wedding format.
FAQ Topic
Proposals and Engagements
Do you photograph surprise proposals?
Yes. We can help plan the photography timing, meeting point, positioning and discreet signals so the moment feels natural while still being documented.
How do we keep the photographer hidden?
We will agree on a precise location, description, arrival time and backup communication plan. The setting will determine how discreetly the photographer can wait and move.
What if my partner sees the photographer?
We can behave like a visitor or photographer working in the area, but complete invisibility cannot be guaranteed in open public spaces. A thoughtful plan reduces the risk.
Can you help me choose the best proposal time?
Yes. We can suggest timing based on light, expected crowds, tide or access considerations and the atmosphere you want.
Can family and friends join after the proposal?
Yes. We can help plan a reveal or group photographs after the question is asked, provided the location and schedule allow it.
Can we turn the proposal into an engagement session?
Yes. Many couples continue with portraits immediately afterward while the emotion is still fresh.
Do you offer standalone engagement sessions?
Yes. Engagement photography may be booked separately and is also included in selected wedding collections.
What should we wear for engagement photographs?
Choose clothing that feels like you, coordinates without matching exactly and suits the location. We can provide guidance on colour, movement, footwear and backup layers.
Can engagement photographs be used for invitations or a wedding website?
Yes, personal use is generally allowed under the print release provided with eligible coverage. Tell us your design deadline so we can discuss delivery timing.
Have a surprise, meaningful location or unusual idea in mind? Share it privately. We can discuss a discreet plan and arrange the details that are practical for your date and location.
FAQ Topic
Family, Maternity and Portrait Sessions
Do you offer family photography on Oahu?
Yes. JTP Gallery photographs local and visiting families across Oahu, focusing on connection, personalities and a blend of relaxed moments and classic group portraits.
How large can our family group be?
Both immediate and extended families may be photographed. Larger groups may need more time, a suitable location and a clear list of household or generation combinations.
What if our children do not sit still?
That is completely normal. We use movement, play, prompts and breaks rather than expecting young children to pose perfectly throughout the session.
Can grandparents or multiple generations join?
Yes. Multigenerational sessions are welcome. Please mention mobility, seating, shade or timing needs so we can plan a comfortable experience.
Do you offer maternity photography?
Yes. Maternity sessions can be photographed individually, with a partner, with children or as a family.
When should I schedule maternity photographs?
The ideal time depends on comfort, health and the look you want. Contact us early enough to reserve a flexible date and discuss any accessibility or pacing needs.
Do you offer newborn photography?
Ask us about current availability and approach. Newborn-related sessions require a safe, baby-led plan, and the location, timing and style should be agreed before booking.
Do you offer individual or personal-brand portraits?
Yes. Portrait coverage can be tailored for personal milestones, professional profiles, creative concepts and lifestyle imagery. Commercial brand use should be identified before quoting.
Can you recreate a photograph or follow a Pinterest board?
Reference images can help communicate mood, styling or composition, but we will adapt the inspiration to your people, location, light and JTP's authentic style rather than copy another creator's work exactly.
Will you retouch skin or body shape?
Standard editing includes thoughtful colour and image refinement. Requests for extensive skin, body, clothing or object alteration should be discussed in advance and may involve an additional fee. We aim to keep people recognisably themselves.
What happens if someone is camera-shy?
You do not need to know how to pose. We use simple direction, conversation and movement to help people feel natural, and we can adjust the pace for anyone who needs more time.
Every family and every body has different needs. Tell us what would help you feel comfortable. Timing, pace, groupings, privacy and creative details can often be arranged.
FAQ Topic
Graduation Photography
Do you photograph graduations and senior portraits?
Yes. Sessions can celebrate an individual graduate, friends, family or the wider story behind the milestone.
Can we photograph on campus?
Potentially. Campus rules, permits, operating hours, graduation-day restrictions and crowd levels must be checked before the session.
Can I bring my cap, gown, lei, diploma or cultural attire?
Absolutely. Bring items that are meaningful and permitted at the location. We can plan a mix of formal, celebratory and family photographs.
Can parents, grandparents or friends join?
Yes. Tell us who will attend so enough time is allowed for both individual and group photographs.
Do you cover the graduation ceremony itself?
Event coverage may be possible, but access rules, seating restrictions and venue credentials can limit what an independent photographer is allowed to capture.
Can we book several graduates together?
Yes. Group sessions can be arranged based on participant count, desired individual coverage, location and time.
When should graduation sessions be booked?
Book early around school and university graduation seasons. Weekends and golden-hour time slots can fill quickly.
Celebrating in your own way? We can arrange individual, family, friend-group or ceremony-related coverage where access and availability permit.
FAQ Topic
Birthdays and Private Events
What private events do you photograph?
JTP Gallery can cover birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, baptisms, baby showers, bridal showers, retirement parties, holiday gatherings, cultural celebrations and other personal milestones.
Can you photograph both formal portraits and candid moments?
Yes. We can capture room details and planned groupings while also documenting natural interactions, speeches, reactions, dancing and atmosphere.
How much coverage does a private event need?
It depends on the schedule and priorities. A short celebration may need only key formalities, while a longer event with arrivals, performances, speeches and dancing may require several hours.
Can you photograph a surprise party?
Yes. Please identify a reliable point of contact, arrival plan and private communication channel so we do not accidentally reveal the surprise.
Do you photograph religious or cultural celebrations?
Yes. We welcome the opportunity to document traditions respectfully. Please explain important moments, areas we may enter, dress expectations and any photography restrictions.
Can guests request photographs during the event?
Usually, as time allows. The booked client's priorities and event timeline come first, and we may redirect requests if they interfere with essential coverage.
Can we add videography or a photo booth to a private event?
Yes, subject to availability, venue space, access, power and the overall event schedule.
Do you photograph events at homes or vacation rentals?
Yes, when the property owner or host permits professional vendors and the space is safe and accessible. Parking, noise, access and equipment rules should be confirmed in advance.
Your celebration does not need to fit a standard category. Send the schedule and the moments you care about, and we can arrange a practical coverage plan.
FAQ Topic
Corporate, Brand and Community Events
Do you provide corporate event photography in Oahu and Honolulu?
Yes. JTP Gallery is expanding dedicated coverage for conferences, company gatherings, award ceremonies, launches, networking events, nonprofit functions, community programmes and other organisational events.
What corporate moments can you cover?
Coverage can include venue and branding details, arrivals, speakers, panels, award presentations, audience reactions, networking, team portraits, sponsor visibility and candid interactions.
Can you provide both event coverage and executive headshots?
Yes, when planned in advance. Headshots may require a dedicated area, lighting setup, schedule and additional team member so event coverage is not interrupted.
Can you photograph products, interiors or branded activations?
Yes, as part of an event or agreed commercial assignment. Please provide the required shot list, usage, specifications and brand guidelines before quoting.
Can you work with an event planner or marketing agency?
Yes. We can coordinate with planners, producers, venues and marketing teams while keeping one authorised contact for approvals and scope decisions.
Do you provide certificates of insurance or vendor documents?
Share the venue or procurement requirements as early as possible. We will confirm which documents can be supplied and whether any special coverage or registration affects the proposal.
Can you follow a corporate shot list and brand brief?
Yes. A concise priority list, run of show, brand guidelines and examples of required sponsor or leadership coverage help us deliver a more useful gallery.
Can images be delivered during or immediately after the event?
Expedited selects or on-site/near-live delivery may be possible as a custom service, depending on staffing, connectivity, volume and required turnaround.
Can you provide photography for press or social media teams?
Yes. Tell us the required orientation, crop space, file dimensions, naming method and deadline. Commercial and media usage should be specified in the agreement.
Do you cover recurring corporate events or multiple locations?
Yes. Recurring, multi-day and multi-location work can be scoped under a custom agreement with consistent standards, points of contact and delivery requirements.
Can you work with a purchase order or vendor onboarding process?
Potentially. Send procurement requirements, payment terms and deadlines before the date is held so both sides can confirm feasibility.
Do you photograph schools, nonprofits and community organisations?
Yes. Tell us about the purpose, safeguarding or consent requirements, budget, deliverables and intended use. We can discuss an appropriate scope.
Need a tailored commercial deliverable, fast selects or repeat coverage? Corporate scopes are built around the event and intended use. Send your brief and procurement requirements so we can arrange the right team.
FAQ Topic
Videography
What types of events can you film?
Videography may be available for weddings, elopements, private celebrations, corporate events and selected sessions, depending on the team and deliverables required.
What kind of wedding films do you offer?
Current options may include short cinematic highlight films, longer documentary or cinematic edits, and selected full-event edits. Exact duration and coverage depend on the chosen collection or add-ons.
Is videography recorded at the same time as photography?
Yes, when booked together. The photography and video team coordinate positions and timing so both mediums can capture key moments without unnecessarily disrupting the event.
Is audio included?
Audio coverage depends on the service. If vows, speeches, toasts, interviews or presentations are essential, identify them in advance so the appropriate recording plan can be confirmed.
Can I request the full ceremony or full speeches?
Full ceremony and toast edits are available as add-ons in current wedding videography options. Confirm current pricing and compatibility with your chosen coverage.
Can I receive the raw video footage?
Raw footage is a current wedding videography add-on. Because files can be large and are not colour-corrected or edited, delivery method, format, storage period and limitations should be confirmed before booking.
Do you offer drone footage?
Drone footage may be available as an add-on, but it depends on weather, safety, pilot availability, airspace restrictions, property rules and permits. It can never be guaranteed when conditions or regulations do not allow safe legal flight.
Can I choose the music for my film?
Music must be licensed for the intended use. You may share preferences or examples, and the editor can select an appropriate licensed track or confirm whether a requested song can legally be used.
Can you revise the finished video?
Your agreement should state whether revisions are included and what counts as a revision. Requests that change the approved style or require major re-editing may be quoted separately.
How is the video delivered?
Delivery depends on the package and file size and may use a secure digital link or online platform. The final method and estimated timeline will be stated in your agreement.
Have a specific film, speech, social clip or delivery need? Tell us before booking. Video length, audio, edits and add-ons can be arranged when the right team and resources are available.
FAQ Topic
Photo Booth Rental
What is included with the JTP photo booth?
Current wedding photo booth offerings include unlimited sessions during service, an on-site attendant, a custom-designed template, a backdrop, props, instant prints and a full digital gallery. Confirm the exact inclusions for your event.
Is the photo booth digital, print or both?
Current offerings include both digital and print experiences. Venue connectivity and the selected package can affect sharing features.
How much space does the photo booth need?
Space requirements depend on the booth, backdrop and guest flow. We will need a level, sheltered setup area with safe access and any specified power or connectivity.
How long does setup take?
Setup time varies by venue access, parking, loading route and customisation. The booth team should be given access before service begins, according to the confirmed arrival plan.
Does the photo booth need power or internet?
Power is generally required. Some digital functions may also depend on reliable internet or mobile service. We will confirm the technical requirements with you or the venue.
Can the print template be customised?
Yes. Names, date, colours, event theme or brand elements may be incorporated, subject to design approval and receiving usable assets before the deadline.
Can we choose the backdrop and props?
Available options depend on current inventory. Share your event colours, theme and venue limitations so we can recommend a suitable combination.
Is an attendant included?
An on-site attendant is included in current wedding photo booth offerings to operate the experience and assist guests.
Are photo booth sessions unlimited?
Current packages allow unlimited sessions during the booked service period. Print quantities and any reprint policy should be confirmed in your proposal.
Can we add a guestbook or special keepsake?
Ask us about available add-ons or whether a client-supplied guestbook can be incorporated. Staffing and materials may affect feasibility and price.
Can the photo booth be set up outdoors?
Only when the equipment can be protected from rain, wind, direct sun, sand, moisture and unstable ground. A weather-safe backup location is strongly recommended.
What happens if guests damage props or equipment?
The client should help maintain a safe environment. Responsibility for misuse, loss or damage will follow the terms in the event agreement.
Want a custom booth look or have an unusual venue? Backdrops, templates, hours and add-ons may be arranged around your space, theme and guest experience.
FAQ Topic
Locations, Travel and Permits
Where on Oahu do you photograph?
JTP Gallery serves Honolulu and locations across Oahu, subject to access, safety, travel time, permits and availability.
Do you travel to other Hawaiian islands or outside Hawaii?
Travel may be possible for destination events. A custom proposal may include transportation, accommodation, baggage, local transport, permits and additional travel time.
Are travel fees included?
Any known travel cost should be discussed and shown in your proposal or contract. Fees depend on distance, timing, team size, equipment and whether overnight travel is required.
Can you recommend a photography location?
Yes. We can suggest options based on your preferred scenery, group size, mobility, privacy, time of day and travel plan. Availability and legal access must still be confirmed.
Do I need a permit for beach or park photography?
Some Hawaii locations require permits, reservations, insurance or restrictions on professional activity. Requirements vary, so they should be verified for the exact date, place, group and setup.
Who is responsible for obtaining permits?
Responsibility should be confirmed in writing. Unless your proposal specifically says JTP Gallery will secure a permit, the client or planner should not assume it is included.
What if our chosen location is closed or restricted?
We will use the agreed backup location or discuss the closest practical alternative. A closure outside JTP Gallery's control may affect timing, coverage and travel.
Can we photograph at a hotel, resort or private property?
Yes, with the property owner's permission and compliance with vendor, insurance, access, parking and location-fee rules.
Can we use more than one location?
Yes, if enough coverage time is reserved. Travel, parking, changing, traffic and access reduce the time available for photography, so the route should be realistic.
Can we take photographs in the ocean or on rocks?
Only when conditions are safe and everyone is comfortable. Waves, currents, slippery surfaces, wildlife, sharp terrain and changing weather require caution. No image is worth risking someone's safety.
How do you choose between sunrise and sunset?
Both can be beautiful. Sunrise may offer cooler conditions and fewer people; sunset provides warmer evening light but can be busier. The best choice depends on location, season, weather and your schedule.
Have a dream location or destination in mind? Send it to us. Travel, permits, access and alternative locations can be researched and arranged as part of a confirmed plan.
FAQ Topic
Planning, Clothing and Preparation
What should we wear for a photography session?
Wear something comfortable that reflects you and suits the location. Coordinated colours and complementary textures usually photograph better than identical outfits or distracting logos.
Do you provide a styling guide?
Guidance may be provided for your session. You can also send outfit photographs in advance if you want feedback on colour, movement or suitability for the location.
Should we bring a second outfit?
You may, if the session includes enough time and there is a private, practical place to change. Outfit changes reduce shooting time, so prioritise the look that matters most.
What should we bring to an outdoor session?
Depending on the location, consider water, comfortable walking shoes, touch-up items, insect protection, a towel, a light layer and only the props that have been planned.
How should we prepare children?
Choose a realistic time around sleep and meals, bring water and simple snacks, avoid pressure to perform, and allow extra time. Familiar comfort items can help younger children settle.
Should we arrive early?
Yes. Allow time for parking, walking, venue access, wardrobe adjustments and restroom stops. Late arrival may reduce the available photography time.
Can you help with our event timeline?
Yes. For eligible bookings, we can review the photography sequence and flag timing concerns. Your planner or venue remains responsible for the full operational schedule unless otherwise agreed.
Do we need a shot list?
For weddings and events, provide must-have groupings, VIPs, brand elements and unique traditions. You do not need to list ordinary moments an experienced photographer already expects to cover.
Can we bring props?
Yes, when they are safe, permitted and meaningful. Oversized, messy, airborne, flammable or environmentally harmful props may be restricted by the location or JTP Gallery.
Do you direct posing?
Yes, gently. We give clear guidance when needed, then create space for movement, conversation and natural expressions.
Unsure what to wear, bring or schedule? Share your ideas and concerns. We can adjust the preparation plan to your group, setting and comfort level.
FAQ Topic
Children, Pets, Accessibility and Inclusion
Are children welcome at sessions and events?
Absolutely. We expect children to move, play, need breaks and warm up at their own pace. Safety and wellbeing come before a perfect pose.
Can we bring a pet?
Yes, if the venue or location permits animals and it is safe to do so. Bring a handler, leash, water and treats, and tell us about the pet's temperament in advance.
What if someone has limited mobility?
Please tell us before choosing the location. We can consider parking distance, slopes, sand, steps, seating, shade, rest breaks and accessible alternatives.
Can you accommodate sensory needs or neurodivergent clients?
We will do our best. Helpful adjustments may include a quieter location, simple instructions, additional transition time, fewer surprises and a flexible pace. Tell us what supports the person best.
Are LGBTQ+ couples and families welcome?
Yes. JTP Gallery welcomes diverse love stories, identities and family structures and aims to create a respectful, comfortable experience for everyone.
Can you honour cultural and religious photography preferences?
Yes. Please explain significant customs, modesty preferences, gender considerations, restricted moments and how family members should be addressed.
What if someone does not want to be photographed?
Tell the photographer or event contact. At private events we will make reasonable efforts to respect the request, although avoiding a person in every wide or crowd image may not always be possible.
Can you photograph people who use mobility aids, prosthetics or medical equipment?
Yes, respectfully and without treating the equipment as a problem to hide. Let us know whether the person has preferences about posing, visibility, assistance or privacy.
Can we request a slower or shorter session for health reasons?
Yes. We can discuss pacing, breaks, seating and a focused priority list. Medical needs or safety concerns should be shared only to the extent necessary for planning.
Comfort looks different for every person. Tell us what would make the experience safer and more welcoming. Reasonable adjustments can be discussed and arranged in advance.
FAQ Topic
Event-Day Coverage and Vendor Coordination
When will the JTP team arrive?
Arrival time will follow the confirmed coverage schedule and any required setup period. Please provide accurate venue access, parking, loading and contact information.
Who should be the event-day contact?
Choose a planner, coordinator or trusted person who understands the timeline and can make practical decisions without repeatedly interrupting you.
Do you coordinate with the planner and other vendors?
Yes. Sharing the planner, venue, videographer, DJ, celebrant and other key contacts helps the team coordinate timing, lighting and access.
Can guests take photographs while you are working?
Usually, but phones and cameras can obstruct aisles, distract subjects and affect key moments. An unplugged ceremony or a brief guest pause during formal portraits can help.
Do you need a vendor meal?
Long event coverage may require an appropriate meal and short break so the team can continue working safely and effectively. The requirement should be stated in the contract.
What if the venue has very dark lighting?
We prepare for varied conditions and may use flash or additional lighting when permitted. Venue restrictions and atmospheric lighting can still influence the final look.
Can you work around a strict venue schedule?
Yes, when we receive the rules and final timeline early. Delays or last-minute changes may require reprioritising the planned photographs.
What happens if an important person is late?
We can rearrange the order when practical, but cannot guarantee every planned grouping if delays exceed the booked coverage or disrupt the event schedule.
Can we ask for extra photographs on the day?
Yes, if time and conditions allow. Requests that change the agreed scope, require additional hours or affect another service may need approval and an added fee.
Do you take breaks during long events?
Yes, brief practical breaks may be needed for meals, hydration, equipment management and safe performance. They are planned around key moments whenever possible.
Complex schedule, several vendors or unusual venue rules? Introduce us early. Timing, access and team coordination can often be arranged before the event becomes stressful.
FAQ Topic
Weather and Unexpected Situations
What happens if it rains?
Light or passing rain can sometimes be worked around using shelter, timing changes or creative coverage. Severe weather may require a safer location, schedule change or rescheduling under the contract.
Do you decide whether an outdoor session should be rescheduled?
We make the decision together based on safety, official warnings, access, the type of session and the agreed policy. Hawaii weather can change quickly, so a final call may be made close to the scheduled time.
What if it is windy?
Wind can add movement but may affect hair, clothing, audio, equipment and safe photo booth or drone operation. We may adjust positioning, location or expectations.
What if the beach is crowded?
We can change angles, work patiently or move to an agreed nearby area, but cannot control public access. Sunrise, weekdays and less central locations may reduce crowds.
What if there is poor light or heavy cloud?
Professional photography is not limited to perfect sunlight. We adapt to the available conditions, although weather will naturally influence colour, contrast and background.
What happens during a natural disaster, emergency alert or unsafe condition?
Safety comes first. We will follow official guidance and venue instructions. Coverage may pause, move or end, and next steps will be addressed under the force-majeure or rescheduling terms in the agreement.
What if roads close or traffic causes delays?
We will communicate as soon as practical and adjust within the remaining schedule. Clients should also allow generous travel time and inform us of known closures or event-day transport plans.
What if equipment fails?
Professional event preparation includes suitable backup equipment and responsible file handling. If a technical issue still affects coverage, JTP Gallery will communicate honestly and follow the remedies stated in the contract.
What if the power or internet fails at the venue?
Photography can often continue, but photo booth, lighting, upload or sharing functions may be affected. We will use practical alternatives where available and safe.
Can you guarantee a sunset, rainbow or specific natural condition?
No. We can plan for favourable timing, but clouds, rainbows, waves, wildlife, foliage and sunsets are natural conditions outside anyone's control.
Concerned about weather or a complicated backup plan? Tell us before booking. Alternative locations, timing and contingency coverage can be arranged where feasible.

Cancellations, Illness and Backup Plans
What happens if I need to cancel?
Contact us in writing as soon as possible. The current retainer is non-refundable, and all cancellation terms, outstanding costs and any transferable value will follow the signed contract.
Can I reschedule my session or event?
We will do our best to move the booking based on availability, notice, reason and the contract. A new date is not confirmed until both sides agree in writing.
Can I transfer my booking to another person or occasion?
Possibly, but only with written approval. The new date, service, location, pricing and contract party may need to be reviewed.
What if I am sick on the session date?
Notify us promptly, especially if the illness is contagious or affects safe participation. We will discuss the available rescheduling options under your agreement.
What if Jean or the assigned photographer becomes ill?
JTP Gallery will communicate as soon as possible and use reasonable efforts to provide a qualified replacement from its team or network when permitted by the contract. If suitable coverage cannot be provided, the contract will determine the remedy.
What if a team member has an emergency during the event?
The team will prioritise safety, continuity and communication. Depending on the circumstances, another team member may take over or the coverage plan may be adjusted.
What if our venue changes after booking?
Tell us immediately. The new venue may affect travel, permits, access, equipment, staffing, timing and fees. Coverage remains subject to the revised location being workable.
What if our event date changes but JTP Gallery is unavailable?
The cancellation and rescheduling provisions in your contract will apply. Availability on the original date does not guarantee availability on a replacement date.
What if the event is postponed indefinitely?
Contact us to document the status. Any deadline for selecting a new date, credit, transfer or additional fee will follow the signed agreement.
Do you have backup photographers and videographers?
JTP Gallery is building a dependable team and network to support larger events and emergencies. Specific backup arrangements depend on the service, date and contract and should not be assumed to guarantee identical personnel.
Something unexpected happened? Contact us early and explain the situation. While contractual terms still apply, we will discuss any reasonable arrangement available.
FAQ Topic
Editing, Galleries and Delivery
Are all delivered photographs edited?
Yes. Delivered photographs are professionally selected and edited to meet JTP Gallery's quality and style standards.
Do you provide every image taken?
No. The photographer removes duplicates, test frames, missed focus, unflattering expressions and images that do not meet the final standard. The delivered gallery represents the successful story of the coverage.
Do you deliver RAW or unedited photographs?
RAW photography files are not normally included. They are unfinished working files and do not represent the final JTP Gallery service. Any exceptional request must be agreed in writing before booking.
How many photographs will we receive?
The number depends on coverage time, event pace, guest count, conditions and what happens during the day. Current wedding photography options describe unlimited edited high-resolution images rather than promising a fixed total.
How long does editing take?
Turnaround varies by service, season, event size and selected add-ons. Your proposal or contract should provide the applicable estimate; ask before booking if you have a firm deadline.
Do you offer sneak peeks?
Selected wedding collections include a 48-hour sneak peek, and it is also listed as a current add-on for eligible wedding photography. Availability for other bookings can be discussed.
How will we receive our photographs?
Eligible services include a secure online digital gallery. Delivery details, download access and any expiry period will be provided with the gallery.
Can we share the gallery with family, guests or colleagues?
Usually, yes. You control who receives the gallery link or access code, subject to the platform settings and any privacy restrictions agreed for the event.
Can I request editing changes?
You may report a technical concern or ask about a specific image. Extensive retouching, style changes or edits outside the included service may require an additional fee and may not always be possible.
Do you back up our photographs?
JTP Gallery uses responsible file-handling and backup practices during production. Clients should download and make their own backups promptly because indefinite archive storage is not guaranteed.
What if I lose my gallery or download link?
Contact us with the client name and event date. If the files are still archived, access may be restored. Retrieval or re-upload fees may apply after the stated hosting or archive period.
Can you deliver a few images by a specific date?
Possibly. Tell us before booking if you need photographs for announcements, press, social media, invitations or gifts. Rush delivery may require a custom fee and schedule.
Have a deadline, file specification or special editing need? Tell us before the event. Expedited selects, alternate crops and additional retouching may be arranged when feasible.
FAQ Topic
Image Rights, Privacy, Prints and Archiving
Who owns the copyright to the photographs?
The photographer generally retains copyright, while eligible clients receive a print release or licence for agreed personal or commercial uses. Your contract is the controlling document.
What does a print release allow?
A personal print release generally allows you to download, share and print your photographs for personal use. It does not transfer copyright or automatically permit resale, advertising, editing or commercial publication.
Can I post the photographs on social media?
Personal clients may generally share delivered photographs for personal use. Please avoid filters, heavy edits or alterations that misrepresent the finished work, and credit JTP Gallery when practical.
Can a business use the images for advertising or press?
Only under the agreed commercial licence. Intended channels, duration, territory, paid advertising, third-party use and exclusivity can affect the scope and price.
Will JTP Gallery post our images online?
JTP Gallery may request permission to use selected work in its portfolio, website, social media or marketing. If privacy is important, discuss it before signing so the applicable release or restriction is documented.
Can our event remain completely private?
We can discuss a privacy restriction or non-public gallery. Some assignments may require adjusted pricing or terms when portfolio use is prohibited, and confidentiality should be written into the agreement.
How are photographs of children handled?
The contracting adult should communicate any restrictions on photographing or publishing minors. Schools, organisations and public events may require additional consent procedures.
Can guests download event photographs?
Gallery permissions depend on the client's preferences, platform and licence. Corporate and private events may use restricted access when appropriate.
Do you offer professional prints?
Yes. Selected wedding collections include fine-art prints, and other print products may be available through JTP Gallery or the gallery store.
Can I print photographs elsewhere?
If your service includes a print release, yes. Colour and quality vary among consumer labs, so JTP Gallery cannot guarantee third-party print results.
Do you offer albums, canvases or wall art?
Ask about the products currently available. Options, sizes, design revisions, production time and shipping can be quoted separately.
How long do you keep our files?
Archive and gallery-hosting periods should be confirmed in your agreement or delivery email. Download the full gallery promptly and keep backups in more than one safe location.
Can you remove an image after it has been published?
Contact us with the exact image and concern. We will review the request, prior permission, publication context and any third-party copies outside our control.
Need confidentiality, commercial usage or a special print product? Tell us how the images will be used. Licensing, privacy and products can be arranged clearly before the work begins.

Do returning clients receive priority or special offers?
Any current loyalty benefit, seasonal offer or early-access opportunity will be confirmed at the time of inquiry. Prior bookings do not automatically hold a new date.
Do you offer gift certificates or photography gifts?

Do you have a referral programme?
Referral offers may change. If someone referred you, include their name in your inquiry so any active programme can be applied correctly.

Do you collaborate with other photographers or creatives?
Potentially. JTP Gallery is building a dependable team and values respectful collaboration. Any associate, subcontracting or creative partnership must align with JTP's quality, reliability and client-care standards.
Can I leave a review after my gallery is delivered?
Yes, and honest reviews are deeply appreciated. They help future clients understand both the photographs and the experience of working with JTP Gallery.
What if my question is not listed here?
